There's Something in the Pipes
You are the owner of a movie rental store.
You have one hour until your shift.
You need a shower.
The shower is full of blood.
Go figure.
A very serious plumbing simulator originally created for MAGS (November 2022).
Honestly I'm not too sure if this counts as horror or comedy, but there's copious amounts of 1-bit blood and a bit of morbid humor so those are the tags we're going with.
Features:
- A short (~5 - 20 minutes) character study with a bit of point-and-click puzzling.
- Customizable screen tint so you don't burn your eyes out.
- A pretty cool rubber duck.
(Note: the MAGS build of the game contains unintentional flickering effects during an opening cinematic. It can be skipped by pressing Escape when the titular pipes are on screen, or shutting your eyes until the alarm clock goes off. This issue is not present in the post-jam build.)

OW THE ENDING LOOKS PRETTY PAINFUL
i barely figured out the puzzle(huge skill issues) but i loved the game
I have no idea why, or how, maybe it was the blood, but the moment I saw your game it brought back memories of picking and drinking hibiscus tea with my grandmother, dunno why but thank you.
I can't beat the game I have a broom stuck in my hand and can't unequip it ahhh T^T
You can right click to clear your inventory!
Or just don't use the broom. It's not a necessary item, it just provides hints.I've patched the issue out for the downloadable version, but AGS's web porting system has changed since I released the game so I haven't managed to fix the browser version yet. Hopefully soon, though...
Love the style of the game, and the duckie. The ending was really cool too, overall fun to play.
hilarious and fun game, i felt so smart for figuring out the puzzle lol and i love the multiple coding inside jokes about Cool Ranch, poor guy, he's seen (and heard) a lot. love this game 10/10 (also peep the potential Lemon Demon reference??)
This was a very fun game, and cute too! I really enjoyed the way that the puzzles were laid out, and Clarissa was a delightful protagonist (I also really liked Ingrid, she made me laugh.)
You did an excellent job with There's Something In The Pipes, and it gave me a bit of nostalgia since it definitely had the same sort of feel as some older point-and-click games!

Eugh, that's a nasty one. Thank you for letting me know! Just checking I've read the error log correctly - this happens when you try to launch the game, correct?
It looks like the script that handles the game's audio settings is having issues. Normally it creates a file in your computer's AppData or ProgramData folder to store these settings, so whenever you make a change or load a save the volume levels remain consistent. Buuuut it looks like it crashes when it tries to do this, meaning something on your computer is blocking it.
It might be a clash with your computer's security settings, firewall, or operating system. (What version of Windows are you playing this on?)
I might be able to patch in a quick fix when I get home from work, but the volume might not work as intended. It may be easier to play the HTML5 version in the meantime.

Whew, okay. Pushed out a bugfix that hopefully fixes the crash. (Can't replicate it on my end so it's hard to know for sure.)

Cool Duck did not disappoint
I love the game and art, you can tell a lot of love was poured into it. Lovely charm and puzzles are decently hard but not brain-shattering. 10/10, would shower again.

Bizarrely cute game for something that's about a murderous entity stuck in our pipes. I really liked Clarissa as a character, and enjoyed working my way through the game! Thank you for making this game!

Heya! There's three endings - one for finishing all the puzzles, and two for giving up at certain points.
It's a short game that took most testers under 30 minutes, but it depends on how quickly you solve the puzzles and if you try to read all the optional dialog.

I gotta say the amount of zero care Clarissa gave throughout this game was hilarious. Nice job on this game had me worried for a moment near the end! Also you maybe should call an exorcist beforehand...

Are you able to scroll down? If you don't have a mousewheel, there should be a down arrow you can click to reveal the other topics.
The last topic in that tree should be "Never Mind", which takes you back.

When you say it got stuck, do you mean the game froze, or that it didn't respawn (after turning the lights back on)?
Id pick it up and use it but it wouldn't let me drop it afterward unless I had another item I hadnt already used
Gotcha! You can right-click to clear the item you're holding, but it's odd the broom isn't clearable in any other way.
I'll get on that.
The game's plot is excellent, and even after all the options are exhausted, I'm still intrigued to find out what could happen next.

A really good game. We played it with a bunch of friends on Discord and had a lot of fun figuring out the puzzles together. I would've liked it if there was any kind of secret ending or maybe something else to know more about the characters. But nevertheless it's still really enjoyable.

I enjoyed this little game so much ^^ First of all the visuals are so on point and the animations are amazing. I was surprised that all character movements were actually animated and that added so much life to this game. I was stuck at one point because I just tried to click aimlessly and overlooked the mirror. But I eventually figured it out even tho it probably lasted longer than it should have... The hint was right there, I just overlooked it. Aside from that I put the pieces together pretty quick. It was so much fun and I loved how the character's story was told through the phone calls and little comments. This is exactly the type of fun comedy/horror puzzle game I wish there was more of!

This was a cool pixel art horror game with an interesting storyline that I enjoyed. The game involves quite abit of thinking and involves some puzzles as well to get a good ending (I assumed that I got the good ending at the end). It took me some time before I realised what to do in the game and when I reached near the end of the game, I was quite worried that I made the wrong decision as I thought the main character was dead XD. The ending was comedic and I enjoyed the entire storyline as a whole.Would be cool if there was more things about the "ghost" though.
